Forbidden Lime is an original acrylic painting from Uslada’s Forbidden Fruit series (acrylic on canvas, 70x80 cm / 28x31 inches), now sold to a private collector.

This evocative work reclaims the "forbidden" flavor of lime as a symbol of life's sour-yet-essential notes — challenging internalized shame, prohibitions, and the absurd self-denial of passion and desire.

In the Forbidden Fruit series, Uslada allegorically explores how we cut ourselves off from experiencing life's full palette of flavors (metaphorically represented by apple, orange, lemon, lime, pear, banana, fig), irrationally forbidding what makes us feel truly alive.

Forbidden Lime celebrates the lime's sharp, invigorating essence: alone it may be sour, but in the symphony of existence, it contributes to ecstasy and wholeness. Rendered in bold, luminous acrylic layers with Uslada's signature symbolic fluidity, it radiates sensual energy, liberation from judgment, and joyful embrace of all that desires us.

Although the original is in a private collection, limited edition fine art prints (only 30 copies worldwide) are available: hand-embellished by the artist with golden/iridescent liquid acrylic paint for shimmering, light-responsive highlights, printed on archival-quality Canson Satin Paper (270g), signed, numbered, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
