Rebirth of the Goddess

A new art series Rebirth of the Goddess by Uslada comes in the times when the rise and rebirth of the Divine Feminine is our only hope to rise out of victimhood into sovereignty and spiritual power. It’s the time when recovering our true voice is the only way to be in this world. When going into the oceanic depth of our shadow is the only way to uncover the key to the treasures of our collective Soul. When pointing our fingers to blame “the other” instead of taking responsibility for our own lives will only cause the snowball of suffering to become bigger — until it crashes down on our heads to wake us up to our true loving nature — whatever it takes.

The Goddess is no longer in the hiding. Her time has come. She’s reborn with her full fervor, passion and transformational magic.

She’s fully awake and she’ll shake you into your freedom, no matter how painful it might be to leave the prison of your own making.

The first painting in the series is "Mermaid", acrylic on canvas, 80x60 cm.

Mermaid

Acrylic on canvas, 80x60 cm

“Mermaid” is a celebration of the archetypal Goddess of the Ocean. Across many cultures and cosmologies, millions of people have worshipped the female guardians of the water, the source of life on this Planet. Mythological water deities have stirred the waves, caused the rain, and purified forest lakes and springs since time immemorial.

“𝘔𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘱𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘢-𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘨𝘰𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦.” (The Book of Symbols, Taschen). This painting is also a tribute to Anuket, Egyptian goddess of the Nile and nourisher of the fields, Tefnut, goddess of water, moisture and fertility, Nammu, Mesopothamian goddess of the primeval sea, the Slavic Mokosh, goddess of moisture and many other water goddesses worshipped in every culture.

The second painting is “Trailblazer,” 80x60 cm, acrylic on canvas

Trailblazer

Acrylic on canvas, 80x60 cm

“Trailblazer” is my tribute to the fiery and passionate warrior goddess of strife and discord, Eris. She’s the embodiment of the Fierce Feminine, the mythological goddess who started the Trojan War because she had not been invited to a wedding. She also embodies the experience of the feminine throughout the history - excluded, marginalized, ignored and scapegoated for anything that went wrong. And she’s rising into her full power while 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 herself into the society, proudly taking her divine place in the Universe. She doesn’t need anyone’s invitations or permissions, she’s inviting herself into the world, unapologetically powerful and free.
