Free as a bird

Free as a bird, I open my cage.

Looking out cautiously, dreading their rage.

Making the first little step feels unnerving,

I’m not a slave and I won’t be serving.

I step outside, and I open my wings,

Free as a bird, I’ll do magical things.

No one has told me that I was so free,

I’ll be the one to change my history.
